There is a Coca-cola crate-turned shelf on my living room wall that no one is ever allowed to move for this exact reason. Spouse would be so mad if he knew that there were two extra holes behind it where I didn’t measure properly– then tried to fix my mistake causing damage to the drywall. Personally I blame him– because if he hadn’t waited a month to put it up, I wouldn’t have had to do it myself. LOL.

So at least you’re not alone in your misguided home improvement efforts!

My husband says I “swiss cheese the walls”. Truth-his world or not- my world, I’ve learned what to do. Leave out the ladder and drill like I’ve been working it. He’s like an olympic champ beating me to the project. :o)

Well…..I know exactly where you are coming from. Guess what I did?

Hubby and I had been redoing the kid’s rooms. I got impatient one day when he went to work and decided to hang the curtains. I too needed to use the same holes, and same screws. However, the anchors on the existing screws were stripped and thus, did not fit as they once did. SO, I wrapped aluminum foil around them and made them work.
Hubby had no idea until last week when the darn thing fell and he said, “someone put these things up with foil!” I, of course, had no idea who.
