Lisa,
Sharing memories and traditions is a wonderful idea. My husband and I are sort of at a loss this year as what to do on Christmas Eve. For the past 24 years we have gone to his grandmother’s house at 6:00 PM. on Christmas Eve. For my husband, it has been all of his life (all that he can remember since being a child). See Grandma passed away this past April at 96 years old. This is our first Christmas Eve without her and we really don’t know how we are going to spend it. This is all my children have known too, is to go to great grandma’s house. My children are not little anymore (ages 20 & 24) so we are all trying to come up with a “new tradition.” So maybe someone will have something exciting for us to do or start a new tradition of our own.

Hello Lisa, Like I always say I enjoy reading your blogs. And this one goes to prove why. LOL…

Usually I have a fake tree but withour move last year to Florida, my mother gave my tree away. So this year we decided that we would embarq on a new tradition. So we went to the tree farm in Rosalie but when we got there it was closing due to it was dark outside….lol…. So we were going through Fort Payne, and seen Lowe’s so we decided to stop and after like 30 min we finally ended up witha 6-7 ft Douglas tree. It is huge. I have string lights, white lights don’t really care for the multi color…… and I am more then likely going to pullout the old decorations this year and hoep to catch New decorations after the Hilodays, for next year.
