A Woman Inspired Conference Ticket Giveaway

**Comments now closed. Winners announced shortly!**

Many of you have heard about the fabulous ministry of The Amy’s over at A Woman Inspired. Together they produce several online conferences per year covering every topic imaginable.

I’m honored the girls have asked me to speak again this year at  Get Revived. The conference is March 15-19th and the cool thing is you attend through your computer by webinar! No hotels or plane tickets. No laying out your kids’ school clothes before you leave so your husband doesn’t dress them like a doofus. All you have to do is cozy up in front of your computer with a drink in one hand, a pen in the other, and get ready to take some great notes from an amazing line up of some of your favorite teachers and speakers. (I’m being very presumptive in including myself in that description.) The registration is only $12.95 for 5 days of sessions. And don’t worry, if you have to miss one you will be able to listen later because all of the mp3’s will be available as part of your fee.

Visit A Woman Inspired: Get Revived to learn more about the conference and how it works. My session will be on March 16th at 10 a.m. EST. I hope you can listen live because one of my favorite features of this format (say that five times fast) is your ability to chat and interact with all the other attendees while I’m talking. For real. How many conferences do you attend where you don’t feel guilty for texting through them? I love glancing at the instant message window to make sure I’m resonating with you since I can’t see your lovely faces glaze over if what I’m saying doesn’t make sense. In this case, a silent chat window is my cue that it’s time to clarify or move on.

Speaking of moving on, let’s get to the giveaway!  I have 5 TICKETS to offer for this conference!  Simply leave a comment on this post before midnight Monday, February 15th and if you would like – add to the comment by telling me one thing/area of life/issue on which you would really love to hear  biblical teaching. (Not a requirement for an entry.)  That should be a clue that I’ve not nailed down my topic (I’m waffling between three) but hopefully you girls can be the Holy Spirit in confirming it for me! I’ll randomly choose the winners and announce on Tuesday.  Remember, if you don’t have a blog please provide an email address so I can contact you with registration info if you are chosen.

‘Cute Shoes’ Book Winners!

Have I mentioned lately that y’all are hysterical?  If I ever delude myself into believing I’m somehow alone in my struggles you’ve proven me wrong once again.  In offering my own confession I must tell you I’m the girl who walks in to Sunday School in that magic window between 10 and 10:15 when class is still taking role and chatting and yes, I blame it on my children.  (And no, there isn’t really a magic window but if there were one in the parsonage that I could somehow climb through and be immediately in the church, that’d be awesome.  Kind of like the wardrobe in Narnia without all the snow and talking beavers.)

(Stream of consciousness, anyone?)

Thank you so much to all of you who entered this give away!  It’s the prayer of my heart that this little offering of mine will be an encouragement to ministry wives and a relationship builder for our churches.

And now, here are the winners (as selected by Random.org) along with how they answered, “Are you typically on time for church?”  (My responses are in red.  Because there were some things I just had to say.)

#59  SuperMom

No, BUT… I have 5 kids under the age of 7… so between getting myself and them ready….Yeh! You get the picture…. wanna know the worst part?!!?   We only leave 2 minutes (LITERALLY) from the church…. OUCH! I’m horrible!  (I blame my genes! My family is always late for everything…. even their own funerals! LOL!)

Dear SuperMom,   ME TOO.  To all of it except the 5 kids under 7.  Bless you, my sister.  I bet y’all are never missing shoes are you?

#86  Tara G. at Mrs. Yellow Hat

I am an on time person, and I think that is due to being a musician- we were always told (and I told those under my baton) that if you’re early, you’re on time, and if you’re on time, you’re late! :)

Tara, I don’t know the kids and I could exist in the philosophy of your Universe.  Unless of course we were under your baton.  Do they sell child-sized versions of those somewhere?  Electrified?

#103   Vickie – January 20, 6:14 P.M.

We have to drive one hour to church – yes, my husband is the preacher – and we’ve been late 3 or 4 times due mostly to weather conditions on the highways. That’s not too bad! Can’t wait to read your book! And even if i don’t win — i’ll still keep praying for you! How’s that? :)

Vickie, you won!!  If you were going to pray for me before I’m expecting some overtime now. :)  Let me just say if I lived an hour from church I’d be arriving just in time for the altar call.

#111  Jessica – January 20, 11:24 P.M.
I am usually on time for church my husband likes to be there early usually 2 hours early.

Jessica, my hubby is always there early.  It’s so annoying.

#144  Crystal @ Life Is Nothing Without Him

I just tweeted about this giveaway!

See, y’all?  Sometimes those extra little entries pay off!

Congratulations to all the winners!  Please email your mailing address to thepreacherswife1 AT gmail DOT com with CUTE SHOES GIVEAWAY WINNER in the subject line so I don’t miss it.

Cute Shoes Giveaway: Check your entry!

Did you enter the Cute Shoes giveaway?  Check your entry, please!  Some comments may have been lost in a server move (I have no idea what that means) and I don’t want you to think your name is still there if it’s not.  I know some were gone this morning but I’m not certain if they were all restored.

Also, if you blogged/facebooked/twittered  or added the button to to your blog, please be certain you use a separate comment to log that rather than telling me you did all three in one entry.  I have no way of separating that out once it’s time to choose the winning numbers and I want to be certain you are credited.

Did all that make sense?

I didn’t think so.

Remember, my giveaway is going on through tomorrow and I’ll be announcing locations of others in coming weeks.   Still plenty of time to enter so hop over HERE if you’ve not yet done that or if you have no clue what I’m talking about!

That should be most of you!

As you were…
