So that’s where the dents came from….
If you were in my car today, you would have heard this conversation:
Einstein: Hey mom, me and the boys have a new game we’ve been playing
that’s really fun…It’s called homerun derby. It is awesome!Me: That’s good…how do you play?
Einstein: Well, we each bat and whoever hits your car gets
a homerun.
And while I’m proud the boys are playing together without killing one another, am I wrong in hoping this particular game doesn’t catch on??
I came by because of Sting My Heart. Congratulations on your award. The boys are cute and I don’t blame you for not wanting it to catch on.
Maybe you should park at the church and tell them whoever hits it from your yard gets a homerun. I bet they’d stay busy all summer long just trying to hit it…..and you might have a few less dents!
That sounds more like “Lose Your Allowance So Mom Can Repair Her Car Derby.” :-)
At least they are creative. And they aren’t trying to bean a younger sibling with a home run ball.
Lisa,
The stories about your life and your boys have been wonderful. I have said to my daughter many times, “Who are the three people who love you most?” Priceless question. I thank you for your example and sharing from your heart and life.
oh my, maybe get a whiffle ball and bat?!
Congrats on the award! Well deserved my sweet friend!
If you haven’t seen it, look up “Mom My Ride” on YouTube. :) I guarantee you aren’t the only one with this problem! :)
I am so wanting to meet these great kids!!!
I have an 11 year old, and while, yes, he can be creative like your kids, the creativity doesn’t seem to be coupled with common sense sometimes- am I right?
I guess that’s why they need parents! Go figure!
Ha, ha, ha , ha ,ha. My children have done the same thing. They can be little stinkers!
I read this right after I had a similar conversation with my DS 2 (17yo) and my DS 4 (8yo) as they told me they probably “should” move my car since that’s the goal area for their soccer game! All I could think was…..
BOYS!?!?!
life with boys is never dull!
TOO funny…..
and really I’m not laughing at you….but then I guess it can’t be laughing with you if you aren’t laughing – huh? sorry.
have fun on your vaca next week as we won’t be back from our annual conference until Sunday and you’ll already be gone!
I hope it is rejuvinating for ALL!
love –
mindy
Hey! I just found your blog today…I am also a pastor’s wife and a student as well. (I saw where you wrote you were finishing a NT class.) The story about your boys playing ball is hilarious! I look forward to checking back in to see what’s going on in your life! Jeanette
Your blog is an automatic home run!
LOL!
Sorry for laughing… couldn’t help it. ;)
