I was researching on the archeological evidence of The Exodus…just for nerdy fun! And I came across this article and I thought of your study of the queen and this article mentions her. Anyway, I thought you may like it.

Lisa, I am sooooo sorry I missed you! I do have your cell programmed in my phone and we were just so busy last week.

By the way, were y’all in the Cleveland Court area? Also, where was your hotel? Yikes! I read your previous post about someone being shot!

There are some nice areas of Montgomery, it’s not all ‘ghetto’, I guess that’s like any town!!!

I hate that we weren’t able to meet up! But, my heart is overjoyed at the precious souls that were saved while y’all were here!

    Much love!
    Tracey

I love the picture that you posted. It helps me to understand what the 1st century church looked like (Though in modern day terms.) I appreciated the nuts and bolts as to how you were able to gather these women together in the first place.

I am excited for the work that you began in Montgomery.

Welcome!

Hi... I'm Lisa and as the tagline says, also a preacher's wife. I began this website in 2007 just prior to the Facebook revolution when mom blogs were a relatively conflict-free zone for sharing recipes and stories about our latest parenting fails.

Fast-forward a few years...

Luke and I continue to serve the same family of believers in North Alabama where we've called home for over 16 years.

The boys are grown and gone, we have an incredible daughter-in-law and the baby McKay is living her best life as an only child while working and going to college.

I am a full-time corporate employee and still love to write and teach Scripture. The last two years haven't been kind to public events but it's been during these trying times that the Lord has revealed the importance of the local church reclaiming discipleship using the gifts of those within the body. The time feels right to refresh the blog as a platform for sharing how God has worked through this process and perhaps encourage other churches to follow. And who knows, there may even be a recipe or more parenting fails. Those don't stop when your kids become adults.

Thank you for visiting.. I look forward to connecting!

My Book

Are you a ministry wife who could use words of encouragement for navigating the ins and outs of serving the church? I wrote a book for that very purpose. Check it out here!
