Thankful Thursday
It has been quite some time since I have been able to participate in TT. Apparently I had a ghost in the machine that wouldn’t let me view Sting My heart. It finally vacated when I exorcised defragged it… Freaky, huh?
Which leads to my list and the top thing on it:
1. I am so thankful I can view Sting My Heart again! I’ve missed my friend Iris even though I was keeping up through Feedburner. I’ve also missed visiting you girls! Your lists and stories of faith are always so encouraging to me.
2. I am elated a major project I have been working on got completed and sent off this week. Now I am praying for favor where it is concerned!
3. I am grateful for my patient husband who endured my madness and a less than spotless house the last month.
4. I am THRILLED OUT OF MY EVERLOVING MIND over Casting Crowns’ ‘Altar and the Door’. Ya’ll….this cd…. (Pause to fan my face) ….it is just beautiful. My favorite song is ‘In the Middle’. For those of you who are doing the ‘I AM’ study, expect that song to pop up in next week’s lesson entitled ‘He Brought Us Out to Bring Us In’.
5. I am even MORE THRILLED over my Casting Crowns CONCERT TICKETS that we bought this week for the Huntsville show. All I can say to my husband is – Honey, you are going to be moderately to overtly embarassed when I hop around and sing my heart out. The great thing about concerts is no one can hear you…. I’ll let you in on a little secret. Sometimes I lipsync and pretend that girl in the band’s voice is really mine. Retarded, I know.
6. I am glad school is going well for the kids. They love their teachers and so far I think they love them back. Just found out my oldest boy, aptly named Einstein, did not miss a single question on the Alabama state exam he took last spring. Keep it coming baby. Your momma needs some scholarships.
7. I am grateful Jennifer reviewed the ‘I AM’ Study at 5 Minutes for Mom today. Go here to see what she had to say! She also reviewed 3 other study books for which there is a giveaway…Don’t miss out!
8. I am overwhelmed at the love of the Father towards me. He continues to guide me by paths I have not known nor would have ever dreamed. There is a line in ‘Somewhere in the Middle’ on the new CC cd that says, ‘when will we trade our dreams for His’ (or something like that). I have come to a place in my life where I am not afraid to do this. I haven’t always felt that way. I look forward with joyful anticipation at the abundant life He has planned for me and my family.
Ya’ll go see my friend Iris and tell her how much you appreciate what she does at Sting My Heart and Laced With Grace. Her ministry changes hearts and lives and I am forever grateful for her friendship.
Love you friend!
O Lisa,
I thrill at reading this list. I don’t even know what you were working on but it will be blessed. God’s finger prints are upon it. Your life and work here are a light to so many of us.
I am thankful for you. Wonderful list.
Lord, Thank you for Lisa. See her heart of gold and bless her richly as You walk with her down this new path. In Jesus name, Amen.
May you be sweetly blessed.
What a great Thankful list, I know you will enjoy seeing Casting Crowns because I saw them in January! I liked them before but now I LOVE them!
Great list, thanks for stopping by to say hi!
Blessings
I loved your list. You have such a sweet heart.
I am a nerd too. I would totally lipsink and pretend the girl in the band was me!!! So much fun.
I saw Casting Crowns here in FL before they were big; they opened for FFH. ( Whatever happened to them?:-) ).
Who would have ever thought they would be so big now….
Anyways, I hope you had a blast.
I too enjoy Casting Crowns. Thank you for your wonderful thankful list. Have a blessed day.
I just started listening to the Casting Crown CD yesterday–love what I was able to catch. I need to bring it inside so that I can listen to it all the way through.
Sounds like God has been keeping you busy and doing some great things in your life.
God is good!
Enjoy the concert! I am going to have to go and get me that CD!!
I just pictured you jumping around with the teenagers at the concert!! :D I bet you will have a lot of fun!
Thanks for running the “I AM” study again!
Loved reading your list. Your major project would’nt have anything to do with a submission of some writtings mentioned awhile back?
Praying for you girl.
I’m excited to hear the new Casting Crowns cd. I’ve heard alot about it. Now I will forever have this picture in my mind about you singing along! You go girl! Congats on finishing your project. Excited to hear how that goes for you. Blessings on your weekend.
Awesome thankfuls Lisa!! It’s so good to have you back!! And as for the Casting Crowns tickets…well, let’s just say I am reciting commandment #10 as we speak!!! Have a great day!
What a great list of Thank-you’s. God is just so awesome. I am seeing comments about the new Casting Crown cd everywhere. Since the hubby is a worship pastor, I better go get it. I love “East is to the West” that I’ve heard already on Christian radio.
Welcome back. Amen to thanking God for husbands that put up with a little clutter when we’re overwhelmed elsewhere. Hoping your project is successful for you. Blessings on you and yours…
Isn’t Casting Crown’s such a blessing. I have been listening to the CD nonstop since Tuesday. Enjoy the concert – I will be seeing them in October – can’t wait.
Love Casting Crowns!!! The first time I saw them, they were touring with Stephen Curtis Chapman. At first, I just paid attention to the sound of the music, and I thought “this isn’t really my style of music”… but then I kept listening and watching the cool meaningful videos that were playing as they sang, and I became hooked in a matter of minutes. I am real big on listening to the messages in the songs. Whoa.. Conviction falls hard on me when I listen to some of their music. Plus, I now like the sound of the music too… I am waiting to get my tickets to their concert. They are coming my way in October.
Blessings, and I am glad to join your Online study community.. Kim
Trading my dreams for His – wow – that’s something to attain to. Thank you for your wonderful blessing list today – it blessed me!
I too am a big Casting Crown fan. They music is so worshipful.
Great thankful Thursday list. I have been blessed by your online Bible study so much.
A wonderful, happy list! I have not heard Casting Crowns (Gasp, I know!), but your infectious review has me wanting to go out and pick up the CD! And a big High Five to Einstein. I totally understand about scholarships and the need for them. Thank you so much for sharing your list! Blessings for a wonderful week ahead :) Welcome back to TT!!
Goodness woman, I was gone for a few days and you have 10 new posts in my bloglines!!!
Just wanted to let you know that I was here. :)
And I’m gonna try to do the “I AM” study with you this time…I did see the review on 5M4M this morning. I was so proud! Anyway, I have, you know, dishes and stuff to do right now, but I’ll try to jump in later!
What a great list. I have read about the Casting Crowns cd on several other blogs today. I think that must mean I’m supposed to buy it :)
Thank you so much for visiting. I need to come back and visit you again. I thoroughly enjoyed this!
Lisa—-great list! I enjoyed (and laughed a bit) reading it!
Glad you are able to get the “boogies” out of your computer!
BE blessed!!!
I’m with you on sitting together at the CC concert! Our husbands may want to sit a few rows back,…or better yet a few rows in front of us. That way they won’t have to see us acting like a bunch of idiots!
I hope that round two of your study goes really well.
I am always grateful for my husband’s understanding of a messy house. Actually, I’m even more thankful when I actually get the urge to tidy up.
I just noticed that Casting Crowns had a new CD and had been eyeing it. I’ll have to add it to my wishlist.
Wonderful list! I love Casting Crowns! but haven’t got there new CD yet….can’t wait!
All I have to say is that I am SO jealous over your Casting Crowns tickets!!!!! I live in Canada and most CCM artists don’t come here. :-( Maybe a drive or plane ride to the USA is in order!!!! :-)
I will pray for God’s blessing for your projct.

Oh, I love Casting Crowns! How fun!
I have to tell you that I was howling reading your string of comments on my blog. Seriously. I was sick and it absolutely made me feel better! You crack me up!
Praying for your project–sounds exciting!!
Blessings~
YES that new cd is just blessing my socks (well, flipflops) off. Man!!! We saw them in concert a couple of years ago and they were just amazing. I’m SO glad y’all get to go!
You and your “projects” inspire me so. I just love what a faithful steward you are of the many gifts the Holy Spirit brought with Him when He took up residence in you. You rock.
Have a great weekend!
I am so thrilled that you are able to visit again – YEAH!!!!!
Oh, the Casting Crown CD just totally rocks, doesn’t it. I like “East to West” the best so far, because it rings so true in my life right now. His mercies are new every single day. Ever fell like you are putting your foot in your mouth and have a really, really hard time to get it back out? Well, I did and now I am not sure to get myself back out for the mess.
I am so thrilled that you got your project mailed off. Praying with you that it will be published, my friend. It would be very cool.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Blessings to you and yours.
Lisa,
I’m new to this whole bloggin thing so bear with me. I have started your bible study and absolutely love it. It is most definitley speaking to me. I am trying to begin a speaking/writing ministry and this study seem especially appropriate. The cool thing is that God placed me to start this study at just this time. Somewhere in the middle is also my favorite song off of the new CC CD. My children love them and ask me to play their CD’s all the time. Looking forward to getting to know you through your blog. By the way, I’m jealous, I couldn’t get tickets to Deeper Still.
