Was the caramel apple cider good!? Yes that was said with a little bitterness. LOL.

Did you shop til you dropped in just these three stores? Did you really start your day at 4am at Kohl’s? :) Glad you had fun! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Obviously, I was on the computer waaay too late last night and clicked on the wrong comment area. It makes much more sense here! :-)
So is that the order you visited them in?! At least here in Texas, Kohl’s opened at 4:00AM for crazy (in my opinion!)shoppers. I imagine their (your?!) next stop WOULD be Starbucks after that!

I personally avoided all stores and related traffic with the exception of one certain drive-through for my Peppermint Mocha treat! But I must admit I’d never even noticed the apple cider on the menu until today!

Glad you had a great day of shopping. Brandon fell in love with Kohl’s today. And Starbucks! Wow, this mom had taught him a thing or three or maybe it is the girl of his dreams! Either way, he has picked a winner, she loves all the things you listed!!

No Lifeway where I was, but I got my Starbucks Peppermint Mocha and shopped at Kohl’s…but had more success at Target. :)

I just spent some time reading below…girl you crack me up! I didn’t make the Starbucks stop..the hubby was with me and thinks they are WAY overpriced, so I made myself some coffee and added the new (for the season that is) Pumpkin Spiced, Coffee Mate with a little Splenda in it and I was good to go! :)

Well, school/work starts back for me in a couple days, so I will be able to post another study….pray for me! I didn’t realize I would have a couple of times online over the holidays, but I did and I used it to leave comments like this! Oh well…I’ll catch up on my own later!

    Thanks, Angela

We had a great time on Black Friday. I won a 20 dollar gift card to the mall, got my Jesus One and Only for 10 dollars and a Wii game for my son that was on sale and they never go on sale and I got it and I was giving God some praise on that one!! I also found the ornament for my friend Connie. We are doing the ornament exchange and we were paired up. I found it at Lifeway and it was a God thing.
    Love You,
    Patty

That definitely is a GOOD day!!

Welcome!

Hi... I'm Lisa and as the tagline says, also a preacher's wife. I began this website in 2007 just prior to the Facebook revolution when mom blogs were a relatively conflict-free zone for sharing recipes and stories about our latest parenting fails.

Fast-forward a few years...

Luke and I continue to serve the same family of believers in North Alabama where we've called home for over 16 years.

The boys are grown and gone, we have an incredible daughter-in-law and the baby McKay is living her best life as an only child while working and going to college.

I am a full-time corporate employee and still love to write and teach Scripture. The last two years haven't been kind to public events but it's been during these trying times that the Lord has revealed the importance of the local church reclaiming discipleship using the gifts of those within the body. The time feels right to refresh the blog as a platform for sharing how God has worked through this process and perhaps encourage other churches to follow. And who knows, there may even be a recipe or more parenting fails. Those don't stop when your kids become adults.

Thank you for visiting.. I look forward to connecting!

My Book

Are you a ministry wife who could use words of encouragement for navigating the ins and outs of serving the church? I wrote a book for that very purpose. Check it out here!
