I am so excited for you and your laptop! Don’t you just love it when our husbands blow us AWAY with their confidence in us. I have been so thankful that I found your blog over the last few months. It is one that I visit daily! I love seeing another “pastor’s wife” living the thing out….with some authenticity! Your blog has helped me on my journey.

I have commented before but just changed my URL to take my last name out for some security.

Have a great New Year and I am excited about the changes at CWO, I bookmarked the site this morning.

Happy New Year! The Cafe looks great – I’m so excited about the plans you and Linda C. have for it. I know God has great things in store.

Now if we could just hang out there face to face! :-)

    Hi Lisa~
I am having a great time this afternoon cruising around the blogging world and just found you and CWO. I just got a new Dell laptop this summer and LOVE it! I’d love to know more about your writing. I work with Proverbs 31 Ministries and am an author myself.
    Happy 2008!

    Happy New Year!

    Blessings in Christ–

Welcome!

Hi... I'm Lisa and as the tagline says, also a preacher's wife. I began this website in 2007 just prior to the Facebook revolution when mom blogs were a relatively conflict-free zone for sharing recipes and stories about our latest parenting fails.

Fast-forward a few years...

Luke and I continue to serve the same family of believers in North Alabama where we've called home for over 16 years.

The boys are grown and gone, we have an incredible daughter-in-law and the baby McKay is living her best life as an only child while working and going to college.

I am a full-time corporate employee and still love to write and teach Scripture. The last two years haven't been kind to public events but it's been during these trying times that the Lord has revealed the importance of the local church reclaiming discipleship using the gifts of those within the body. The time feels right to refresh the blog as a platform for sharing how God has worked through this process and perhaps encourage other churches to follow. And who knows, there may even be a recipe or more parenting fails. Those don't stop when your kids become adults.

Thank you for visiting.. I look forward to connecting!

My Book

Are you a ministry wife who could use words of encouragement for navigating the ins and outs of serving the church? I wrote a book for that very purpose. Check it out here!
