Hey Girl! Two of those items were on my Christmas wish list…but I didn’t get them! Perhaps I still have a chance!

Merry Christmas to you, and don’t you just LOVE the new laptop? I got mine two Christmases ago, and I am still so very happy to have it! And yes ma’am, you most certainly are a writer, and a very good one at that!

Your life reminds me of the woman at the well…in the depth of your soul, you know way down deep that you are a beloved daughter of your beautiful God.

    Hey Ms. Lisa!!
Happy 2008 my friend! Thanks for all the laughter, the encouraging words, the depth of your beautiful soul and our bloggy friendship this past year! I’m just so glad I found you when I entered this bloggy world.

And, regarding your comment on my post with all the Christmas pix….
no, we are girl-less at our house.
That is our one and only girl in the family, precious Caroline! The beautiful cuz!

    Happy 2008!
    Love,
    Fran

Lisa, it’s Bev…I jumped in my car and thought to myself—I just told Lisa that she reminded me of the woman at the well!!!! and didn’t qualify that—blogging is interesting when you can’t see someone’s face cause SURELY you would have said back to me—“Huh? What are you talking about?” I think the woman at the well tried to get Jesus off the subject of her heart—now stay w/me cause it’s still not about you—BUT Jesus called her on it and she gave up her theological discussion and followed HIM…here’s my analogy–you so have embraced your God and His Love in the midst of ministry…maybe I should have said you more reminded me of Mary (of Mary & Martha—the “one thing” Mary) caught up in HIM and the lives of others for His Glory. You’re a precious girl. Happy New Year 2008!

Blessings to you and yours in 2008 and beyond.

Welcome!

Hi... I'm Lisa and as the tagline says, also a preacher's wife. I began this website in 2007 just prior to the Facebook revolution when mom blogs were a relatively conflict-free zone for sharing recipes and stories about our latest parenting fails.

Fast-forward a few years...

Luke and I continue to serve the same family of believers in North Alabama where we've called home for over 16 years.

The boys are grown and gone, we have an incredible daughter-in-law and the baby McKay is living her best life as an only child while working and going to college.

I am a full-time corporate employee and still love to write and teach Scripture. The last two years haven't been kind to public events but it's been during these trying times that the Lord has revealed the importance of the local church reclaiming discipleship using the gifts of those within the body. The time feels right to refresh the blog as a platform for sharing how God has worked through this process and perhaps encourage other churches to follow. And who knows, there may even be a recipe or more parenting fails. Those don't stop when your kids become adults.

Thank you for visiting.. I look forward to connecting!

My Book

Are you a ministry wife who could use words of encouragement for navigating the ins and outs of serving the church? I wrote a book for that very purpose. Check it out here!
