An Awesomely Cool Award
My friend Xandra at Heart of Service sent this great award my way she created! Xandra participated in the I AM Study and there isn’t a more precious girl around.
So here’s to all the blogs that you’ve discovered that you can’t possibly live without. They make you laugh, cry, think and feel connected every time you read a post. They give you a thrill as you see them loading into your browser and you get an equally satisfying thrill when you see that they have commented on your blog.
Okay, so I am supposed to name five of my daily reads. Thing is, I’m a terribly daily reader but here is a sampling of the ones I get to as often as humanly possible.
Kelli @ Love Well – I heart Kelli. We are on baby watch since she’s due anytime now. Kelli makes me laugh and her husband interjecting in her comments when she has insulted his beautiful wife absolutely makes me crazy about them as a couple.
Vicki Courtney – Vicki was gracious enough to me a few months back to send a box of goodies for you girls when I told her I was reviewing a book of hers. I love to read her blog to find out what she’s writing and her take on events in pop culture that affect our kids. Even cooler than that, she even comes here sometimes and THAT makes my day. Because she’s famous and stuff. And I’m so – NOT. lol (Messing with you Vickie!) Anyway, she agreed to be my blog bff and that would be one of the highlights of my 2007.
CWO Internet Cafe Team Blog – Many of the girls I read daily are also a part of my blogging family at the Internet Cafe. I encourage you to go there daily for your devotions and to visit each of the girls’ personal blogs while you are at it. You’ll never be disappointed.
All my church girls – Deb, Brooke,Deedra, Cheryl, Jenny, and Melissa
We have a bit of a blogging epidemic in my church – one that thrills me to no end. I love these girls with all my heart and each of them bless me in their own unique way.
Scribbit
Michelle is one of the coolest girls I don’t know. She makes me laugh my head off, gives great recommendations on anything from toys to books, has mad knitting skillz, cooks like a madwoman, and lives in Alaska. She’s like Martha Stewart on steroids and I love visiting her. (I was going to say ‘on crack’ but didn’t know if she’d appreciate that reference…Steroids is so much more flattering..:) I love it even more that she always responds to my comments. No matter how weird they are..:)
Lisa Writes – My sister from another mother. Her New Year post was breath-taking.
Okay, so Beth isn’t going to post this on her blog but I desperately love all the Siestas and can not WAIT to see them in San Antonio in August! I often visit the other girls who have commented on posts there and am proud to feel like one of them! This includes Amanda, Patty, Kim, Shelly, Leigh, Jenny, Lindsee, Ang, Janelle and so many more I know I’m forgetting right now.
Okay, so that’s five plus! If you are on this list and want to pass this award on, choose five of your own favorite reads and post them to your blog for us to read. Don’t forget to let me know when you’ve posted!
I also want to encourage you to go see my friend Linda who has just dove in to the blogging world. Her blog is Mocha with Linda. She’d appreciate your encouraging comments on her debut posts!
Thanks again, Xandra for this fun award…You’ve been a great daily dose for me today!
Thank you Lisa!! I feel the same way about you. I love visiting you and I can’t wait to see what you have posted each day. I mean you are such a beautiful siesta inside and out and one of the most talented writers and teachers of God’s Word hands down. Thank you so much for giving me this award!!
Love you to pieces,
Patty
Lisa, I can’t think of a more deserving awardee than you. Thanks for visiting me around Christmas. I’ve missed you since I took a blogging break this fall and finished I Am. You are such a treat, and I’ll be back to visit.

I’ll be back later tonight, as we are out the door running errands right now. We had a death in our family over the New year holiday (My daddy’s brother passed on to spend his New Year with Jesus! We are having his funeral tonight and graveside services tomorrow.
So, although things are a bit busy at the moment, I’ll be returning to your wonderful blog to get to know you better and count you among my blessings, friend!
On a funny note…. Guess what……that sofa is in MY living room! haha! We MUST have good taste, huh??? And yes…. Mamaw is beginning to read the blogs I love to visit as well. She doesn’t have a blog of her own yet…..but … Mom is our “Ebay Queen” as Chelsi calls her! She loves to dibble dabble on ebay!
I am adding you to my list of “Special People and Places” on my blog, if that is ok! Have a wonderful day….
Love,
Denise C
Congratulations! I love to stop by and read what you have to write…wish I had the time and ability to read daily, but alas…I’m a scatterbrain, so I visit in a scatter-brained way :)
I will be in San Antonio, too! Also, my friend Joanne (the Simple Wife) and Kate (Kathryn Stoker) will be flying in from Colorado with me. Bev (Beverly Brandon) is coming, too, I think!
I really look forward to meeting you, Lisa!

Holly
Honored. Humbled. Thrilled. Touched.
(“Probably in the head,” my husband would add if he were commenting over my shoulder.)
You are just one of my favorite bloggers, Lisa. Thanks for the award.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to have to figure out what I can do to wipe this smile off my face, or I’ll never be able to drink my coffee without dribbling.
What a wonderful award and I am sure everyone you blessed is deserving. Happy New Year and God Bless You!

We read in our one year bible in OT about soothing aromas to our beautiful God and you sure are one…II Cor 2:14—you have been the fragrance of Jesus to many, especially me in relating to you as a minister’s wife…thank you from the bottom of my heart
So cool…you totally deserve it!

Lisa, thank you SO MUCH for this award and your sweet words!! I’m so sorry I am just now commenting about this. It really means so much to me.
I absolutely feel the same way about your blog. It makes me so happy when I see that you have a new post. You are an amazing woman and I can’t wait until we get to meet. Love ya!
Oh goodness, where have I been that I missed this? Skiing–that’s right!
Well lady, your kind words just made my day and you are in fact, my blog bff. Shall we have shirts made? What do bff’s do nowadays? Matching friendship bracelets, maybe?
You deserve the award you blogging pioneer, you! I was late to the game, but glad I’ve crossed paths with you and many of your fine blog-a-mama’s. Wait, I like that word, so don’t take it!
Anyway, I am thinking mighty seriously about going to that San Antone conference in August seeing as though 2008 is supposed to be a “year of rest” for me. Hah! Anyway, it would be a treat to go to an event as an attendee for a change! If I go, will you save me a seat?
I just finally posted about this award! Thank you so much!!!!
Much love on this beautiful Sunday!
Angie xoxo
