A Woman Inspired Conference Ticket Giveaway
**Comments now closed. Winners announced shortly!**
Many of you have heard about the fabulous ministry of The Amy’s over at A Woman Inspired. Together they produce several online conferences per year covering every topic imaginable.
I’m honored the girls have asked me to speak again this year at Get Revived. The conference is March 15-19th and the cool thing is you attend through your computer by webinar! No hotels or plane tickets. No laying out your kids’ school clothes before you leave so your husband doesn’t dress them like a doofus. All you have to do is cozy up in front of your computer with a drink in one hand, a pen in the other, and get ready to take some great notes from an amazing line up of some of your favorite teachers and speakers. (I’m being very presumptive in including myself in that description.) The registration is only $12.95 for 5 days of sessions. And don’t worry, if you have to miss one you will be able to listen later because all of the mp3’s will be available as part of your fee.
Visit A Woman Inspired: Get Revived to learn more about the conference and how it works. My session will be on March 16th at 10 a.m. EST. I hope you can listen live because one of my favorite features of this format (say that five times fast) is your ability to chat and interact with all the other attendees while I’m talking. For real. How many conferences do you attend where you don’t feel guilty for texting through them? I love glancing at the instant message window to make sure I’m resonating with you since I can’t see your lovely faces glaze over if what I’m saying doesn’t make sense. In this case, a silent chat window is my cue that it’s time to clarify or move on.
Speaking of moving on, let’s get to the giveaway! I have 5 TICKETS to offer for this conference! Simply leave a comment on this post before midnight Monday, February 15th and if you would like – add to the comment by telling me one thing/area of life/issue on which you would really love to hear biblical teaching. (Not a requirement for an entry.) That should be a clue that I’ve not nailed down my topic (I’m waffling between three) but hopefully you girls can be the Holy Spirit in confirming it for me! I’ll randomly choose the winners and announce on Tuesday. Remember, if you don’t have a blog please provide an email address so I can contact you with registration info if you are chosen.

one area? hmmmm well.. hard to say just one.. but on God’s purpose… how to follow your dreams that God gives us!
Anything you speak on would be awesome….. but I would love to hear about being an effective women in all areas of our lives, including the ministry. Hopefully this narrows it down for you.
Hello Friend…this sounds so much fun and AMAZING! Guess what came in the mail yesterday? A book with the cutest title with the cutest author!!! I would love to hear some good teaching on establishing priorities and sticking by the “stuff” and balancing marriage, mommy, grandmommy, ministry, work, and me time! Love to you!

A conference I don’t have to leave home for…sign me up! :)
My hubby and I are leaving our current church in just a few months to plant a new church. As we are preparing to leave, our faith is being tested. I would love to hear a message on having true faith and waiting on God’s timing.

Ooohhhh I want a chance to win! When I think of getting revived I think of the fact that God transformed me by the renewing of my mind. If that didn’t happen I would have been stuck in a mess long ago.
I would love to win this!

Just found this website tonight. I was just commenting to someone whose husband is going into the ministry about how where we currently are living that there is not a lot of support for minister’s wives. So I started looking tonight. I so need support from women who are in the same shoes as I! Anyway, I look forward to readingmore of your blog!
I personally would love to hear about balancing life in the ministry…
Thanks!

Hey Lisa – I just finished your book and it was just amazing. At the end of each chapter, I had something that couldn’t have been added to each blogger coment section! As a pastor’s wife, I could related to so much of your book. It is something that only other preacher’s wives can fully understand. My daughters are grown now but I know that growing up PK’s was both hard and rewarding at the same time.
Look forward to more books from you!

Woah I would LOVE one of those tickets! I would like to hear some common responses we have that are like ‘red-lights’ when something isnt right in our relationship with God. Like, if I am cut by criticism, concerned by circumstances or craving condolences (or addicted to alliteration ;), what are the underlying causes and biblical responses we should take. Thanks! Look forward to hearing you! :)

I am so needy right now I can’t choose just one area so if you can help me learn how to focus on keeping my connection to Jesus and balancing everything else, I would be so grateful. I would love a chance to listen and participate in this seminar.
Thank you,
Brenda S
I would love to win a ticket to this conference (but I plan to attend even if I don’t win a free ticket)! An issue I am currently facing is trying to explain taking a giant leap of faith to those who think you are being foolish, especially when part of you agrees with them. I guess it is basically a matter of trusting my own faith in God’s provision.

thanks for the opportunity to win! would love it.
there are some good suggestions with that (rhonda’s really hit home as we are still healing from serious hurts leaving our church almost 2 years ago, but there are brighter days!) something that i have always thought about is being a women and embracing our emotions but in a way that is God-honoring and not allowing them to overtake us. that would be a good one i think. and then the everyday thing, keeping that balance between my family, me, the church and time with God!

Well, I like many others, cannot think of one single thing…I am dealing with a lot right now, settling in a new church (been a year now), the loss of our baby just last week (at 19 weeks) how to balance work, home and church and to do the things I feel God is asking me to do while not feelining guilty about not doing some things that need to be done…there is just so much…
Hope to win!

I’ve never done a “webinar”! Maybe this is my chance!
I am always looking for godly parenting encouragement. I don’t need someone to tell me all the answers, just to keep saying, “Keep on keeping on.”

Gosh I love these conferences! They are awesome!
I guess a good topic for me would be forgiveness. Been dealing with some coworkers who “gossip” and call themselves Christians. I find it hard to deal with them….so possibly I need to focus on forgiving them.
Which I am trying to do. But I have NO respect for them.
So….I feel like I’m no better off than them. Sin….is sin!
Can’t wait!

I loved the last webinar you took part in and would love to hear you again. I’ve not bought your book yet so I’m not sure what you cover in that but I’m anxious to hear how you balance ministry and family…also, how to let go of the expectations of others and trade fear of what others think for confidence in what Christ has called us to personally. Can’t wait to hear whatever you decide to talk about!

Lisa,
I’ve yet to read your book or hear you speak, so I would love to win this conference.
After reading all the comments the ladies have made, I see there are a variety of interest and many needs. I have no specific suggestions for you, except listen to the Holy Spirit. He WILL be the one to lead you. Whatever you choose will be the right Word for the moment and for those who will be there to listen.
Be Encouraged as you encourage many.
In Christ,
Donna
A “webinar”? Never done one–but sounds great! I would love to hear teaching about pressing on and trusting God during hard situations. Thanks! Love ya!!

I would love to attend! :o)
Hmm…I’d be interested to hear biblical teaching on:
1) how to deal with believing and/or unbelieving family members who are a constant source of drama
2) how to identify & deal with spiritual warfare or attacks on your ministry

A webinar??!! I think this could be really great for me. I’ve never attended one and am anxious to listen to you speak. I would love to win a ticket so that I can experience this great spiritual conference for the first time. Thanks so much!
I would love to win a ticket, and I will add that I would like to see you speak on something along the lines of maintaining your own spiritual walk when you are busy raising little ones (I have 5!) and prayer and spiritual warfare in a ministry setting.

Would love to hear you!! Count me in! I have so enjoyed your book, reading it again (already) for the 2nd time!! Topics: Trusting God in extremely difficult curcumstances when it concerns other family member’s drug addictions. How do you move away if God calls hubby to a distant place of service and leave behind family members who need God and grandkids need you at the same time?
I really enjoyed the last webinar I participated in and would love the chance to join this online conference. Needing some spiritual renewal!
I was able to attend one of their online sessions and LOVED it!
I’d so love to attend again.
As a mom to 5 young kids on one income, going to a conference is next to impossible, online conferences are the way to meet and mingle with other Christian ladies!
