Thankful Thursday
I can not tell you how wonderful it has been to be a part of Thankful Thursdays! I am quite amazed at how the list evolves from week to week and how this is an outlet for recording answers to prayer. Have I got some cool stuff to tell you:
1. I am thankful that my car engine has been paid for! Yes, ma’am you heard me right. Through a miraculous blessing, we were informed the repair was being made and that we no longer had to stress over it. Those involved have our families’ deepest thanks. Your extravagant gift has resulted in extravagant praise to our Father! “We give thanks to God always for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers; constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father.” 1 Thess 1:2-3
2. I am thankful we no longer have to cancel vacation because of the car! If there has ever been a year when we needed one, it would be this one!
3. I am thankful for Saturday! I will be speaking at a women’s event in Georgia. I can not tell you how much I love the Sisterhood and the fun I have being with different groups of girls. Please pray for the Spirit’s power over my mind and mouth!
4. I am thankful for Cindy at Inspirational Korner. Go check out her post linked here and encourage her in an important decision she is making as a result of her spiritual gifts test! :)
5. I am thankful my sweet granny got to come home from rehab today! Thank you for praying for her.
6. I am sooo thankful a dear friend’s father prayed for salvation today.
7. Still no prospects for employment for me, but I am thankful God already knows how it is going to work out! :)
For more Thankfuls, go see Iris at Sting My Heart…I am thankful she is over her blog break today! :)
I love when you said, “thankful God already knows how it is going to work out.” That reminder helps me breath alittle easier.
God Bless you,
Betty
“6. I am sooo thankful a dear friend’s father prayed for salvation today.”
DOING THE HAPPY DANCE, PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!!
And the motor thing, how cool is that. I hope you get some well needed R&R. Hopefully I will be caught up on the IAM sudy by then =) My R&R was a Godsend =)
Have a great day!

Oh, Lisa, that is just awesome news about your car :) – how amazing how the Lord has answered your prayers already about it. God is good – all the time.
Great news about your granny. I am trilled that is able to return to her home.
I know that the Lord will/is doing mighty things in your ministry. It would be so cool to hear you speak in person. Too bad that Georgia is so far away from AZ *sigh*.

What a wonderful thankful list and thank you so much for including me and my blog on that list. You are a huge blessing to me!! Thank you!
Hey if I get a praise like tht over my expectation of having to give my car up this summer, I will climb the highest hill i can find and proclaim his praises! SERIOUSLY! God is so good!
Have I been under a rock or something? I missed the whole car engine thing…but I’m glad it’s taken care of! And did you say you were looking for a job??? Mom, Preacher’s Wife, Student, Volunteer…not enough of a challenge for you?
On the other hand, what a great list of thankfulness! And I jumped over and took the spiritual gifts test myself…waiting on the results now…expecting to be asked to take my scatterbrained, flighty, self and leave the church! My answers made no sense…not even to me! If they find a gift in there somewhere… I will be amazed!
That’s so wonderful about your car! God is SO GOOD!!! Thanks for sharing your list. You’re just precious!!
What wonderful news. God is just so good and you have a FABULOUS vacation and be sure and tell us all about it. I will be praying for your speaking engagement. I am sure God will use you mightily to bless others.
Hello Lisa,
Such a lovely list. Thank you for sharing it with us and thank you for sharing your heart and your time with us for the I AM bible series. Big Hugs
Your thankfuls are all over the place! Woo Hoo! Our God is like no other in that He cares about our cars, vacations, whatever it is that we care about! Enjoy your Mother’s Day weekend.
I can read the joy in your post today! Father, I know You have just the right position prepared already for Lisa, and that You will guide her to it in Your timing. All You ask of her is that she keep her eyes on You and that she seek Your face. Lead her down the straight path You have laid before her, and keep the spirit of discouragement far, far away from my precious sister. Bless her with the overabundance of heaven today, and keep her on the path marked by Your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.
And, I am thankful for my new bloggie friend and sister, Lisa, who never ceases to bless me by her thoughtful and encouraging posts. You rock! I’m so glad you will get your needed and well deserved vaca this year.
These thankful posts really are such a blessing. It was so nice to read all the things your heart is grateful for. God is good.
