I’m Off to the Cafe For Coffee and Donuts
Because I hear that’s what policeman love. And since I’ve been up close and personal with one this week, maybe I should offer him a snack.
Come on over to the Cafe’ to find out what in the world I’m talking about….:)
You are so delightful Lisa! I see such beauty in your words and wit. Unfading beauty of a heart humble before your sovereign God. You invite us in with your laughter and you love us all with your huge heart for HIM. You’re a joy to be around. I’m going to try to jump to your other site but I am having blogger woes—took me two days to get boomama’s tour thingy up on my blog. I dropped my computer the other day—do you think that might be the problem?
You mean a ticket was not on your Christmas list?! My, you’re picky!
I guess this little episode is why I haven’t seen you over at Virtue Alert today where Vicki said “God never intended for us to race through the holidays at break neck speed.” ;-))
Those are great thoughts to ponder. How many times do I miss my miracle of the day and plow right past (or forget that Jesus loves me even when my “stop is ruined”)?
Thanks for letting the cop pull YOU over instead of me for that teachable moment! Now THAT’S leadership!!
Good job Lisa. You might also know that God wanted you to stop, for danger could have been ahead for you. I’m glad that HE kept you safe and thanks for the post. Have a good day. I Love You!
Man, I have a comment all ready in my head, and then I read everyone else’s and my thoughts go totally out the window.
So glad for you about the ticket.
Oh well…I’m sure it was amusing too, that’s just the kind of girl I am.
Hey, mail carriers love donuts, too!
Did your son come home yesterday asking any questions about the facts of life???? Mine did. I wasn’t thrilled to say the least….so…I blogged about it. :))
uhoh – can”t wait to read about it right now. Merry Christmas !!
Leigh
Glad you didnt get a ticket! And glad you were used by God to spread His message. I need to remember to spread His message more.
Blessings in Christ–

When God says, ALL things are possible with me, I do believe He means it, even finding favor with policemen/policewomen! I loved how God worked in this situation! It makes me smile. All people need to be reminded or told that Jesus does love them. I was thinking of last Christmas when God laid on my heart to buy a Bible for the woman who my ex married after our divorce. I am not sure how to say this approiately but she was the one who was with my husband while we were still married. Anyway, I had many hateful thoughts about her and God delivered me of that years ago. Miracle, yes indeed! So last Christmas God laid on my heart to buy her a Bible with her named engraved on it. I was nervous because I figured she would take it the wrong way. I bought her the Bible and the boys gave it to her and they said she cried. Speed up to this year, my ex cheated on her and now they are divorced. I can see why I had to buy her a Bible. I am sure she is getting to know the love of Christ through His Word and she needs to know she is loved even though her heart was broken by man. My heart feels heavy for her this season because I know she is lonely and never thought divorce would break up their home. God will use us in ways we never dreamed possible and bring situations into our lives that seem weird or strange to us, even on the side of the road sharing God’s love with a policeman!
Merry Christmas!
Love,
Patty
I was on a personal campaign this year to see how long I could drive with an expired Registration sticker and not be stopped or ticketed…(not because I didn’t register my van, but because hubby accidentally disposed of the new sticker before it was placed on said van)…anyway, I was only stopped once, and upon checking that my van was, in fact, registered, the nice police officer let me go, but told me how to get a replacement sticker for a mere $6.50 because he was sure that with a sticker THAT FAR out of date, I would be stopped many, many times. (I resisted the urge to tell him that it was 10 months and counting and he was the first to stop me!) I did go and purchase the replacement sticker, but alas it still sits in my glove box awaiting Mr. Picky to put it on the actual windshield properly. I officially have 11 days left before my sticker will have been expired for an entire year…and I’ve never been stopped again!
Oh, by the way, I’m having my first ever contest on my blog!!!! Come check it out!!!!
You crack me up my friend!!! Email me if you are going to be in my neck of the woods for Christmas…I would love to say Hi.
Kelli
Lisa, I can never get over to the Cafe’ when I am here at work, but I gather you had a run in with the law of some kind….well, siesta, I am glad you didn’t get a ticket!
Have a Merry Christmas!
